Applications of UWB technology
Transceiver modules, amplifiers, antennas, software and other products and services of the UWB technology it is recommended when developing products, equipment, educational research and development complexes in the following fields of science and engineering:
- In radar sensors of signaling complexes: for detection of intruder penetration on an object or area, detection of moving object, define the availability of arms and metal subjects;
- in Geolocation systems: for subsurface sensing soil, bottom of basins, ground search, plastic anti-personnel and other non-metallic mines not detectable by metal detectors, sounding of building construction, definition of condition of materials,, cables and hard-to-reach items, non-destructive testing;
- in level sensors, range finders and altimeters: for level definition of various liquids in tanks, bulk solids, for object distance determination at various technological operations, for definition of snow or ice depth, etc.;
- in systems for detection of objects and alive people behind walls or under building constructions: for security agencies - for "peeping" through walls and various obstacles, for detection of human subjects under the rubble caused by earthquakes, technogenic catastrophes or natural disasters;
- in intellectual crash avoidance systems and transport traffic control: for distance definition between transport objects (trucks, cars, planes, sea vessels) and preventions of their collision, for data collection about surrounding vehicles and obstacles in advanced intelligent systems of traffic control and surveillance system, for collision prevention of some flying objects (helicopters, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and others) with hardly noticeable obstacles such as power transmission line wires etc.;
- in systems of technical radio vision: potential characteristics of spatial resolution of pulse UWB transceiving modules in millimeters and even in parts of millimeter allow to realize the radio vision system for various of technical objects and robots;
- medical applications: for remote diagnostics of heart activity and breathing of people, for monitoring the life support systems in medicine, including the condition of babes in arms.
